LOOK: LISTEN: LEARN: ACT- Weathering the Storm through the arts

Updated: Oct 26, 2022

As it become apparent that earth’s climate is changing a global network of artists- the World Weather Network (WWN), has been established by UK-based organisation- Artangel, to report on (local) weather through various creative artforms. Each partnering agency, all based at specific locations across the globe (Weather Stations) report through the creative languages of poetry fiction, video diaries, films, photography, podcasts etc. Artists/Agents comment and report on the climate from specific places such as building or out in the wider geographic location to comment and respond to a ’climate emergency’ (WWN, 2022).

This vast project will operate from June 2022 thru until June 23 with 28 arts agencies from locations such as Finland, South Korea, Peru, Philippines, Nigeria, Greece, New Zealand, and in Australia. Bundanon Trust will participate in the digital project as an integral feature of the re-imagined art/science event- Siteworks LEARN MORE
